The boundaries of the workplace are being redrawn. Dubai has put Wi-Fi, modular offices and podcast studios inside its public parks.
Dubai Municipality launched “Work from Park”, converting public parks into fully operational workspaces complete with hot desks, podcast studios and creative production facilities. The first location opened this May at Al Barsha Pond Park, with more rolling out across the emirate throughout the year.
Two key partners are driving delivery:
- Group AMANA’s DuBox division is handling modular construction of the physical infrastructure.
- Letswork managing operations and platform access.
Think sustainably built, plug-and-play workspaces – assembled off-site, dropped into parks, ready to go.
The initiative was designed to serve freelancers, entrepreneurs, SMEs and content creators; but its ambition sits inside a much larger frame. It directly supports the Dubai 2040 Urban Plan and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, positioning parks not as an amenity but as active economic infrastructure for the workforce of tomorrow.
